Frequently Asked Questions

  • Wear clothes you are comfortable working out in. Classes are done in barefoot or grippy socks! Bring a drink bottle.

  • We manage our Private 1:1 sessions around our Duo Reformer class schedule. Please get in touch with us info@southstudiopilates.co.nz and we will set up a time that suits.

  • Yes! All pilates newbies are welcomed into the studio. The classes are taught in a way that can adapt to clients of all levels and meet them where their body is at.

  • If you add yourself to the waitlist of a full class, you will receive an email when you have been bumped into that class due to a space opening. The email will allow you to accept the invitation to the class and you will then be placed onto the class list. The 24hr cancellation policy will apply as normal.

  • You are welcome to join our group classes if you have a mild injury after clearance from a medical professional. Please let us know prior to class starting so we can consider any modifications we may need to employ during the session. If your injury is more serious please reach out to us and we can discuss what will suit your needs. You may be advised to start with a Private 1:1, we can take you through a personalised session and learn more about your injury.

  • Yes! Reformer pilates is great for during pregnancy and post pregnancy exercise. As a rule we would like to know when you have reached 12 weeks pregnant as there are some modifications to exercises we need to employ to ensure you are moving safely throughout your pregnancy.

  • The studio is located straight down the driveway, come on down through the gate and the door is to the right!
